Blog to Taste: About Warren

About Warren

The basics:
Like ASL? 26/M/Portland lol, I spent way too much time online as a kid. Anyway, I'm 26 and a fan of Disney. I've also taken a new liking to searching Tumblr for insects and there's that.

How many meals do you cook a week?
Depending on the week. I work a weird fluctuating schedule, so I don't get to cook as often as I'd like.

What is your spirit food?
Baby Red Potatoes because they are the ultimate feel-good, cutie, comfort food and that's basically what I encapsulate as a human being.

What are the top 5 songs on your cooking playlist?
Just five?! Right now I'm super into Taylor Swift's new album 1989, so I'd say I Know Places, West Coast by Lana Del Ray because witches, For Good off the Wicked soundtrack because Broadway is life!, Long Distance by Brandy and any Britney song because it's Britney! I guess I just came out of the closet! LOL (not really, I've been out for years)!

Do you have food issues?
My only issue with food is people with food issues! ...I kid!!! I love Rosie and would never judge her for her anti-cheese campaign, but I'm going to keep the cheese flowing on Blog to Taste. :)

An early culinary memory?
Well as a 6 or 7 year old my cousin and I were home alone (she was probably like 10 at the time, parents of the year going to Mama and Papa Warren). She said she would make me anything I wanted, but in order for me to figure it out we needed to pull everything out of the pantry, so I did. The pantry was completely emptied out, and I decided all I wanted was some Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. We made it, and it was a complete disaster. The noodles were undercooked and not drained, and instead of topping with ketchup like a human, we decided Hershey's Chocolate Syrup sounded better. Needless to say, I wasn't left alone with this cousin until years later.
